Trivial Pursuit Bet You Know It

Trivial Pursuit Bet You Know It

I bought Trivial Pursuit Bet You Know It a few days before Christmas in order to take round to play with the family. Before purchasing it I was a bit unsure about the format….betting on knowledge of others, buying chips to win etc but after 4 games of this now I have to say it is a fantastic, fun family board game!

The premise of the game is more simple than it sounds. Normal Trivial Pursuit rules applies in Trivial Pursuit Bet You Know It, collect one of each wedge then answer a final question to win. Regardless of whether you are right your turn ends after one questions and every time you land on a category you haven’t got you can win that wedge. The difference comes in the gambling…..you are given 15 chips to start with. Each time your opponent gets a question you can gamble on whether they will get it right or wrong. Bet correctly and you double your chips.  You get a choice of four topics in the question holder…such as Films of the 80’s, James Bond, Eurovision etc but they are far more obscure and things like Fish, Odd Science, Brilliant Inventions and Pubs….the questions could be anything. The advantage of winning chips and gambling in Trivial Pursuit Bet You Know It? Well to buy wedges of course. Should you land on the buy square you can trade 10 chips for a wedge of your choice. Similarity, at the end you can buy question topics for your final questions if you have enough chips. Its easy to get the hang, keeps everyone involves and makes for great amusement gambling on family and friends!

The Trivial Pursuit Bet You Know It questions are as always with Trivial Pursuit a mixed bag ranging from the very very easy to the incredibly tough. There are 1,800 in total and after 4 games I had used each card once so repetition will occur a few times in coming games. There could have been more questions in the pack I suppose but that’s my only criticism.

No matter what level of trivia game you like, no matter what you think you don’t know this is a fun game for all the family and despite initial reservations I have thoroughly enjoyed it and look forward to a few more games of Trivial Pursuit Bet You Know It over the coming weeks!

I would recommend this to anyone! An ideal family game, gift or treat for yourself!

Amazon is about the cheapest place to get it at present and here is the link to get it if interested.
